The search has begun for Canada’s most outstanding security professionals, teams and organisations, as nominations officially open for the 2026 Canada Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs).
With entries being accepted until 23 September 2026, the awards provide an opportunity to recognise the people and organisations whose dedication, innovation and leadership continue to raise standards across the security sector. Best of all, entry is completely free.
Nominations are invited in the following categories:
- Outstanding In-House Security Manager/Director
- Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director
- Outstanding Security Team
- Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding)
- Outstanding Security Training Initiative
- Outstanding New Security Product
- Outstanding Security Partnership
- Outstanding Security Officer
- Outstanding Female Security Professional
- Outstanding Young Security Professional
- Outstanding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative
- Outstanding Security Sustainability Award
- Lifetime Achievement*
*Categories marked with an asterisk are not included in the Global OSPAs.
Whether recognising exceptional leadership, celebrating a high-performing team or showcasing an innovative initiative, the Canada OSPAs highlight excellence across every area of the security profession. Security professionals and organisations from across Canada are encouraged to submit nominations and share the achievements that have made a lasting impact on the industry.
Winning entries in eligible categories will automatically progress to the 2026 Global OSPAs, taking place in early 2027, offering winners the opportunity to compete on the international stage. In addition, the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be inducted into the Security Hall of Fame, recognising an exceptional career and lasting contribution to the security profession.
The winners of the 2026 Canada OSPAs will be revealed during a virtual awards presentation on Tuesday, 1 December 2026.
